Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas is on the way! This week we celebrated Christmas here in the pre-k room. The children worked on letter and number recognition activities, worked on a fizzy candy cane experiment and talked about plans for Christmas. We took a step back and discussed what Christmas is truly about. Yes, we enjoy receiving gifts but the most important part is being with the ones we love. The children dove into their creative side this week, making Christmas trees with their fingerprints, created an ornament from a paper plate, painted with bows and designed their own candy cane. This week our very good friend Coach Charlotte came and we learned the skills of football! Throughout the week, we tested the children’s knowledge on how much they know about Christmas with some trivia questions. We also have had Christmas songs stuck in our heads so we also played “Guess that Christmas song” game. Let’s say, our friends know their Christmas music! We have packed a lot into a few days and we hope the children enjoyed it as much as we did. We hope that you all have a wonderful holiday! Please stay warm and enjoy the family time….we know we will! Merry Christmas to all!
