This week’s theme was “out of this world.” This week, in language, we read various books relating to earth and space, traced our names on planets, colored on rockets, and wrote on magnetic writing boards. In math and science this week, we matched different colored planets, mixed baking soda, water, and glitter to make moon rocks, and sorted different colored aliens. In motor development this week, we stuck stickers on a poster board, tosses “asteroids” at earth, and smashed our moon rocks. In art this week, we painted a paper bowl spaceship, did a mess free sun painting, and painted with foil. We also played Ring Around the Rosie and worked on our sign language, as well as playing with puppets, which most of the children enjoyed. Tomorrow we will trace letters in sand, count aliens, place space cutouts on a sticky wall, and make paper plate aliens.
