Our young toddlers learned all about Easter this week. For language, we matched animal with their sounds, wrote with chalk and crayons, and practiced following directions with Simon Says. We matched egg colors, rolled eggs down ramps, and dyed our very own Easter eggs for math and science. To work our big and small muscles, we hopped like bunnies, opened eggs to find coins, and used cookie cutters to cut shapes out of playdough. We sang the song “Little Bunny Foo Foo” to learn about using safe hands and listening ears. In art this week, we made our own stained glass out of contact paper and tissue paper, used plastic egg halves to paint circles, and decorated paper bags to use in an Easter egg hunt. We also added eggs and Easter grass to our sensory table for the toddlers to explore. I hope everyone who celebrates it has a wonderful Easter!
