It has been a week of construction and so much fun! Our older children love seeing how many blocks they can put on top of one another before it falls down, which then becomes the funniest thing they have seen! they have watched and listened to how three little pigs built their houses out of different materials and which one was eventually left standing and they colored with chalk on chalkboards. We practiced building with objects other than blocks such as different sizes lids and used our pounding benches to hammer in pegs. Bubbles have been plentiful with our new bubble maker, which makes everyone extremely happy! All have listened to songs about vehicles like Wheels on the Bus, Row, Row, Row Your Boat, and Hurry, Hurry, Drive the Firetruck. They have had the opportunity to look through colored magnifying glasses – how different everything around them looked! Our smallest babies watched flashlight beams move above them, played peek-a-boo, and practiced holding small toys and moving them to their mouth. Such a busy week full of fun and flurry and we can’t wait to see what next week will bring!
