This week was all about the treats! We started off with lots of fun activities on Monday and it carried through all week! We did some really fun art activities and got really involved with the alphabet as we looked in the Pre-K pumpkin patch for letters! Tuesday was the BEST day! We started with fun songs and a story with Miss Judy and all of our Center friends. We then went trick-or-treating! We got lots of good treats and had fun saying hello to all of the workers and patients upstairs. We got lots of compliments and felt good about ourselves as we were told how cute we looked and how we were so well behaved. Our fun continued that afternoon as we ate a fun snack and then got cookies and more sweets. Wednesday, half of the class went to Playhouse Square. The rest of the class stayed and played inside and outside. We kept busy and waited patiently until out turn on Thursday. The play, ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ was really cute and our boys and girls enjoyed themselves. For most, it was their first time on our bus and the first time at Playhouse. The teachers were proud of the boys and girls and we can’t wait to go again later in the school year. Our sensory table has been full of shredded black and orange paper. We also have pumpkin eggs and spider rings in there to hide and then find. Some math activities were to roll and cover with pumpkins and add eyes to the “not-so-spooky” monsters. The science table has been busy with real live pumpkins and Mr. Potato Head pieces to make the pumpkin silly! We will end our week with sharing what our favorite part of Halloween is and talking about our favorite candy. We have had a busy, but very fun week! We are already looking forward to the next holiday!
