This week’s theme was Christmas! We had a fun and exciting week! For language development, we read various Christmas themed books, looked at pictures on our Christmas vocab board, wrote in shaving cream, and used bingo daubers on ornaments. For cognitive development, we counted ornaments, matched presents, and lined up presents from smallest to biggest. For motor development, we bounced a present in a parachute, put stickers on a Christmas tree cutout, and placed felt items on a felt snowman. For social and emotional development, we gave gifts to each other, and had a jingle bell parade. In art this week, we made ornaments, painted with bows, decorated a gingerbread house, and made a secret Santa gift for another classroom! We also watched Polar Express, had a holiday party, and got a visit from Santa! The pre-K room gave us our secret Santa gift and we enjoyed playing with it so much!
