We introduced the theme with pictures, print, spring songs, naming insects that come out in the spring and spring flowers.

Monday- Egg carton flowers-glued and painted
Tuesday- butterflies- Rubbing paint on wings with hands
Wednesday- Cupcake liner flowers- glue materials, koosh paint cupcake liner yellow
Thursday-Lady bug- glued wings and eyes, stamped black dots with round sponge
Friday- Bumble Bee – glue black strips, head, and eyes
Math
flower garden with number flowers and egg carton to make stand straight, name number and practice new numbers, colored eggs/jelly bean matching to color grid by placing on top of same color, color craft stick matching with colored pom-poms to make a caterpillar with all the same colors on stick, stringing various size beads with shoe lace, plant boards with pieces to name plant and process.
Motor development
Flower water cubes/butterfly and dragon fly counters with tongs and pails to practice manipulation and build strength in fingers/hands, Play dough and plastic egg carton to press and wrap around the bottom round parts with fingers to mold, pastel colored butterflies with same color small clothespins to match by pressing open with index and thumb, lady bug jars with red/black pom-poms to practice twisting and turning the jar open, and use bamboo tongs to pick up pom-poms, and lacing black/yellow plates with black yarn to challenge fine motor skills.
