We introduced the theme with pictures, songs and books and named garden tools. We talked about our favorite veggies/fruit and what we want to put in our vegetable soup.

Math

We practiced numbers with various activities that allow the children to count, recognize numbers they know, make patterns, recognize colors through number flower garden- name numbers, match same tree bark tube patterns , stack and name number wooden blocks, sort fruit/veggies by same color, same vegetable/fruit and number caterpillar- count the color rings.

Motor Development

The children worked on and strengthen their fine motor/large motor through these activities- stringing cheerios on pipe cleaners to make worms, rubbing fossils with crayons on paper to make impressions, poked sticks through brown filters, used whisks with bowls, soap and water to whisk and make bubbles and practiced line/name tracing on dry erase boards with markers.
