Old MacDonald had a farm, but in the classroom, it looks like we did too! There were so many animals in the room (okay, they weren’t real, but we pretended!). We started our week off with milking a cow! We used a rubber glove with a very small hole in it and each of the children practiced squeezing as if they were getting milk out of a cow. We played “Farmer in the Dell” and sang B-I-N-G-O over and over. We also did the chicken dance quite a few times this week, just to get that energy out! We made “turkey” tracks across paper and drew some animals in our very own barns. We had many discussions about what came first, the chicken or the egg! Speaking of eggs, we had egg races where we balanced an egg on a spoon and walked quickly from one point to another. Tuesday’s field trip was all about stars as we enjoyed an afternoon at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center. Along came Wednesday and another swim day! This was a fun time as we liked squirting the water bottles at each other and even had a friendly diving competition! Thursday was a beautiful day as we went to Clague Park had the most perfect weather! The park was so fun too! We even went walking around, watched some people playing pickeball and went to find ducks (sadly, no ducks were found in the pond!). But we had so much fun! We look forward to getting dirty on MUD DAY!
