This week’s theme was Christmas in July. In language development, we read various Christmas and winter books, did a Christmas vocab board, colored on paper with crayons, utilized a Christmas felt board, wrote letters to Santa, colored on Christmas trees with crayons, and wrote on boogie boards. In cognitive development, we made fake snow, manipulated math tiles, did puzzles, matched ornaments, and counted reindeer. In motor development this week, we manipulated nuts and bolts, placed Christmas ornaments on a pineapple, stacked bristle blocks, frosted cookies, and pinned the nose on Rudolph. In art this week, we painted Christmas trees and added buttons, painted with pinecones, marble painted with a Christmas ornament, and painted with sand. Tomorrow we will write Christmas cards, sort different colored Christmas trees, decorate a Christmas tree with stickers, and glue recyclable items on a Christmas trees.
