This week’s theme was All About Me. In language development this week, we read various books, used bingo daubers on paper, made handprints and talked about what our hands can do, stacked alphabet blocks, and colored on paper with crayons. In cognitive development this week, we matched domino pieces, sorted Lego blocks by color, connected animal puzzle pieces, and manipulated paper towel rolls and balls. In motor development this week, we stacked wooden blocks, manipulated waffle blocks, connected animal connectors, and used tongs to pick up cotton balls. In social and emotional development this week, we looked in mirrors, and tossed bean bags to each other. In social studies this week, we talked about our families. In art this week, we painted a body outline, painted on tin foil, colored paper dolls and continued working on our paper Mache apples. Tomorrow we will write on clipboards with pencils in language development, manipulate magnets in cognitive development, stack bristle blocks in motor development, and finger paint in art.
