What an appropriate week to be talking about the weather – sunny and warm to cloudy, cold, and rainy.  Our window to the outside is giving us a whole array of things to see and then talk about with them.  We will also be celebrating with our Thanksgiving feast, it is so much fun for all of us to eat together and enjoy some yummy food.  In the classroom this week, they have watched bubbles and played with a rainstick.  The Five Little Monkey’s puppet made a showing and all thought it was funny to watch those monkey’s jump around.  Art activities have included gluing, chalking, painting, and coloring.  They have stacked blocks, dropped items into juice bottles and listened to books and felt board stories.  Music mats were put out for them to step on or crawl on to make “music”, though most are more interested in the buttons to turn them off and on.  Our tent and tunnel have been out all week and they absolutely love all of it – they crawl through and into them with their friends while laughing and playing the entire time.  Lots of music, dancing, and singing have been happening which is always a big hit in our room  There has been a lot of development happening with our little ones, including sitting, furniture walking, holding hands and walking, getting into chairs by themselves for meals, and crawling.  It has been such a busy week and next week it will be all about turkeys and Thanksgiving!
