This week’s theme was St. Patrick’s Day. In language development, we read various book, went over a St. Patrick’s Day vocab board with pictures and words, wrote on boogie boards, wrote with green colored pencils, colored with markers, and drew on shamrocks with crayons. In math this week, we sorted shamrocks, placed sticky notes on green items in the classroom, and manipulated math tiles. In motor development this week, hopped on shamrocks, manipulated puzzles, did a scavenger hunt, and put stickers on a poster board. In social and emotional development this week we passed different colored items to our friends, and pointed to different emotion faces when prompted. In art this week, we painted with a shamrock shaped pipe cleaner, painted with Q-tips, painted over clovers, and painted with gold coins. In science this week, we mixed colors together to form new colors, and we mixed vinegar and baking soda. Tomorrow we will stamp on pots of gold in language development, count gold coins in math, do a rainbow run in motor development, look in a mirror in social studies, and make a green collage in art.
