We also discussed all of our father figures who love us and take care of us, too! We practiced our writing skills when we wrote the words: dad, pops, papa, father, uncle, grandpa and grandfather. We also fished for letters and played a bingo game. For math, we used measuring tapes (just like dad!) and played with dominoes. Our sensory table was full of spaghetti and meatballs (okay, not really!) but we did have white yarn and red pompoms with tongs and bowls to serve up a big helping of pasta for dad! We worked our small muscles with playdoh and beading. Our big project has been a special gift for the dads we love! We had many discussions on what our dads do, like and even watch on tv (yes, we heard it all! Many of you like sports while we also heard some of you like to watch the news and other programs!). We had our first field trip! We had the most beautiful weather for it! The sun was out and it was not too hot. Our first swim day was a little warmer, so perfect to get our feet wet in the pools. We had a dance party on the patio and showed off our moves as we could see ourselves in the school windows! It was such a show! We are happy to get out and about for summer! We can’t wait to see how the rest of the trips will go. We are sure the summer will fly by and before we know it, our fall class will be starting and our almost kindergarten kids will be gone! Let’s enjoy the time we have left together! Let the fun begin!
