We got the first week of field trips out of the way and the children had so much fun at the Cleveland Zoo, Lakewood Park, and at Nosotros Rock Climbing. The weather was rainy, hot, or a bit chilly but that didn’t stop us from having fun!
We saw different animals that were outside but we saw many animals that were indoors. We talked about the animals by naming them, where they’re from, and any other information that we read on plaques. We saw the different things that will be featured at the Asian Lantern Festival and the children said that they think the theme will be under the sea because we saw mermaids, fish, corals, and other sea animals. We went to Lakewood Park where we played on different areas and we saw friends that were at our center. We played with the field toys and walked down to see the skyline of Cleveland. Then we sat on the solstice steps to watch the boats go by. We had so much fun rock climbing and going to Madison Park. The children told us how much fun they had this week!
We went over the rules the day before our field tips so that the children know what to expect. We talked about why we go over the rules and why the rules are important which is to keep the children safe. We want them to have fun and not get hurt. We will continue to go over the rules so that the children know what to expect at each place they visit.
The theme this week is Father’s Day and we talked about what our dad’s do. The children said that their dads do different things with them such as playing sports, taking them places, and doing different things with them. They made presents for their dads for Father’s Day and we hope that you like them! Happy Father’s Day!! We hope that you have a great day!!
Next week’s field trips: Clague Park, Cleveland Natural History Museum, and Beck Center (Kaufmann Park afterwards). Please make sure your children are wearing socks and tennis shoes as we do a ton of walking.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
