This week, we dove deep into our Under the Sea theme and explored the ocean through stories, songs, experiments, and play!

📚 Language Development:
We read ocean-themed books, practiced vocabulary with pictures, and colored with crayons on both plain and “O”-shaped paper. We placed sea creatures on the felt board, manipulated foam letters, and even wrote on boogie boards like little deep-sea scribblers!

🔢 Math Fun:
In math, we matched colorful trains (like little submarines zooming by!) and explored shape sorters to help sharpen our problem-solving and visual recognition skills.

🔬 Science Explorations:
We got curious with science this week! We did an oil and water experiment—watching the two swirl and separate—and mixed different colors into water to see what new shades we could create. 🌈💧

🏃‍♀️ Motor Development:
We were busy movers this week! We hopped across pretend coral reefs, carefully placed bottle caps on a mermaid tail, danced and wiggled to The Goldfish song, and had tons of fun feeding “fish” into a paper bag shark.

💛 Social & Emotional Development:
We sang songs together as a group and took turns looking into a mirror, practicing self-awareness and recognizing our own expressions. Big smiles all around!

🎨 Art Adventures:
Art time took us underwater! We used fish stamps, painted colorful stripes on fish, and used rollers to create wavy ocean scenes. Each creation brought a splash of the sea to our classroom walls!

☀️ Outdoor Fun:
This week we also enjoyed a nature walk and had most of our breakfasts outside—soaking up the sunshine and fresh air just like beachside mornings. 🌞

🔮 Coming Up Tomorrow…
We’re wrapping up our week with more ocean-themed fun:

  • Language: Drawing with pencils on clipboards
  • Math: Counting seashells
  • Motor: Playing Ring Around the Rosie
  • Social Studies: Reviewing classroom rules and practicing simple directions
  • Art: Painting by blowing bubbles—just like fish! 🫧

Thanks for splashing through the week with us! 🐙🐳🪸
