It’s been a fun week building, and exploring tools and trucks. Monday in art the children made a construction site by gluing q-tips on paper, creating their own designs. In language the children engaged in a construction bingo game and in math the children practiced writing numbers on chalkboards. Tuesday in art the children painted with small blocks and in language the worked with letter builders. In math the children matched tools to their shadows. Wednesday in art the children marble painted orange and yellow and in language the children dictated if they could build something, what it would be. In math the children worked with positioning a duck in various ways around a pond. Today was a swimming day, lots of fun as always. In language the children matched construction words and in math the children sorted bear counters. In art this afternoon the children will tear red paper and glue to make a stop sign. Tomorrow in art the children will create chalk drawings and in language the children will engage in a hard hat memory game of letters and in math they will work on a shape memory game. In the block area this week the children worked with tools, tool boxes, and construction clothes and hard hats. In the sensory table the children worked with rice, trucks, shovels and buckets.
