This weeks theme focused on LEGOS! Monday in art the children painted with legos and in language the children practiced writing letters in shaving cream. In math the children sorted bear counters by color and size. Tuesday in art the children did some free style painting and we saw lots of creativity! In language the children matched poker chip letters and in math the children graphed their favorite summer activity. Wednesday in art the children cut out shapes and glued them to paper, and in language they dictated what they like to build with legos. In math the children practiced writing numbers on chalkboards. Today the children went swimming! They also worked with magnet letters on the easel and in math created shapes with magnet blocks. In art this afternoon the children will draw either a lego person or lego animal. Tomorrow in art the children will paint with shaving cream and food color and in language they will make letters with legos. In math the children will roll die and place some legos on the correct number. In the sensory table this week the children worked with bowls and pasta noodles. In the block area the children worked with legos. The children have also enjoyed stringing animal shape beads this week, a great fine motor activity.
