Lakewood Child Care Center

This week has come and gone and we could not be more sad about it! We started out as strangers so long ago, and most of you are leaving today as a good friend to many! This week, we did so much talking about how to be a good friend. We did a lot of role play on how to introduce ourselves to new friends at our new schools and how to ask someone to play. We discussed how we know to join in with others, like “Can I please play too?” or “Can I join in?” For some art, we colored pictures for each other. We also played friend BINGO and wrote out each others names for writing practice. We had a wonderful time on our field trip to Malley’s on Tuesday and we ended the summer with a chilly, rainy trip to the park with the summer school age boys and girls. Our “little” ones love to be with the “big” boys and girls and when they are together, there are a lot of giggles and fun! We also got to eat hot dogs and watermelon, so it was a great lunch to finish up the summer! Here’s wishing all of you a wonderful and fun school year! Don’t forget to visit!
