It is all about gardening this week. In art this week the children watercolor painted coffee filters, painted with loofahs, created pasta flowers, created bingo dabber art and tomorrow they will paint with water filled Ziplock bags, to create fun shapes. In math the children have added small pumpkins to numbers, placing the same number of pumpkins to the matching number. They measured flowers using buttons, added petals to a flower using a die, made play dough numbers and tomorrow they will build flower towers. In language the children traced their names with beans, explored lettered carrots in a carrot patch,  matched rhyming picture words and practiced writing garden words. Tomorrow the children will engage in an initial sound activity with pictures., In the sensory table the children worked with green crinkle paper, small vegetable erasers, tongs and bowls. In blocks the children are so imaginative with the addition of flower builders, flower pots and insects. The children show n’ tell, a favorite snack with a special parent guest and he shared his adventures with traveling teddy.
