We had so much fun this week as we wrapped up our Construction theme!

We enjoyed water play to help cool off and took a field trip to Bradley Nature Park. The children had a wonderful time climbing on the playground, running and chasing their friends, rolling down the hill, and exploring the woods. During our nature walk, we searched for fairy gardens, which sparked lots of excitement and imagination!

We finished the week with a visit to the Great Lakes Science Center. The children loved exploring the interactive exhibits, discovering new science concepts, and, of course, playing in the ball pit! This trip is always a favorite, and it tied in perfectly with our Construction theme by encouraging curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning.

We also continued working on our kindness rocks. We have started placing the beautifully decorated rocks in different locations for others to find and enjoy. The children are excited to share their creations with the community. During the next part of our Kindness Project, we will focus on learning about the joy of giving to others.

As we continue learning and growing together, we are also spending time practicing kind words and kind hands each day. We have been talking about how our words and actions affect our friends and how we can solve problems respectfully. Some of our friends still need gentle reminders to use kind words and kind hands, and we appreciate your support at home in reinforcing these important skills. Working together helps create a safe, caring, and respectful classroom for everyone.

In Art with Ms. Joanne, the children created terrariums. This is always a favorite activity, and the children had so much fun designing their own miniature gardens. Ms. Joanne enjoys sharing this special project with them each year, and they always look forward to it!

It was a wonderful week filled with learning, creativity, outdoor adventures, and lots of smiles. We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
