Lakewood Child Care Center

Lego week, so fun! In art this week the children painted with legos, they painted with bean filled bags, and we did the tie dye shirts the last couple days. Tomorrow the children will explore salt dough and I am sure we will see some imaginative creations. In math this week the children sorted Lego’s by color, they made patterns with Lego’s and stacked Lego’s and counted how many high, tomorrow the children will explore a Lego bingo game. In language the children have been tracing letters with Lego’s, they have enjoyed this activity so much that we have continued to make it available and we added more letters to trace. In the sensory table the children have been working with water, fish, large tongs and strainers. In the block area the children have been busy constructing elaborate structures and incorporating the people and animals into. Their buildings are getting bigger each day! Swimming went ok today and then the hose was brought out and the children had so much fun getting sprayed with the hose water, so much laughter!
