Lakewood Child Care Center

We are all friends here…this week was friends week. We learned how to be a good friend such as using kind words, helping a friend when they need it and giving a friend a compliment. This week the children worked on number recognition and measuring one another. At the language table, the children worked on their writing skills by writing their friends’ names. The children also wrote about what they do with their friends! We got creative at art and made some friendship bracelets and colored some paper friends and connected them together holding hands. We ended our fun summer with two different field trips – Scenic Park and Malley’s and then we hung out with the big kids at Lakewood Park for a final bash. Now, many of our friends are heading to kindergarten and we want to say thank you for allowing us to be a part of their lives. You all truly have some awesome kids. As Miss Chasity likes to say, “It is not goodbye, it is see you later!” Good luck to all our fiends in kindergarten!!
