Doctors, nurses, fire fighters and even teachers are all community helpers! This week we talked about different community helpers and even had parents come in to tell us about their jobs. Our parents have some pretty cool jobs such as doctors, nurses, feelings specialist and a chef just to name of few. We appreciate all of our parents who came to talk this week…it’s been so much fun learning what you do each day!

We also talked about fire safety and Miss Lena’s friend fire fighter Brady came in and talked to our friends. We talked about calling 911 in case of a fire and that if a fire happens we need to get low when coming out the house because smoke rises and if we are standing it can get in our lungs. We talked about how the children and their family should have a meeting spot once out of the house. Lastly, we discussed that if fire gets on you then you stop drop and roll!

This week the children worked on letter recognition, BINGO, and writing practice. At math, the children worked on number recognition and sorting. Our friends were creative and made an xray, painted with water color and made mess free flame at the art table.

We hope our friends had fun this week…we know we did! We hope you have an amazing and fun weekend. HERE WE GO BROWNIES HERE WE GO!!!
