We had a fun week celebrating our Halloween theme! We made a list of words that begin with the letter Ii, reviewed letter sounds, and practiced writing Ii. We also talked about the musical Clifford the Big Red Dog!

In math, we reviewed numbers 0–20, used spider ten frames to practice counting and number recognition, and worked on writing our numbers.

We also had fun exploring the inside of a real pumpkin! The children learned about its different parts, including the stem, skin, pulp, and seeds. As we explored, the children practiced taking turns and sharing the opportunity to investigate the pumpkin. This was a great hands-on learning experience that encouraged curiosity, cooperation, and discovery!

Our week was filled with creativity, too! We drew our very own haunted houses, made spiders, and created a pumpkin patch. The children enjoyed using their imaginations and expressing themselves through art.

We also enjoyed spending time with our friends! We read books with the school-age children, drew Halloween pictures with the Pre-K children, and played UNO together. These activities gave us opportunities to practice taking turns, sharing, following rules, and building friendships.

We ended our week with a spooktacular Halloween Celebration! The children had a blast going trick-or-treating upstairs and around the center. We also enjoyed playing fun games in the Great Room and eating yummy Halloween treats. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and festive fun!

We had a wonderful week filled with learning, creativity, teamwork, friendship, and Halloween excitement! We hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween! 👻🎃
