It’s St. Patrick’s Day all week and we have had a lot of fun with the color green and reading books about leprechauns! Our older children chalked with green, stuck shiny St. Patrick’s Day stickers to paper, and affixed cotton balls to sheep. They danced to Irish music holding and waving ribbons with the teachers and played with white and green play dough. All have watched bubbles floating above and around them which has been a great transition tool for our older children, They have been practicing stacking (and knocking down), the blocks that we have out and peek-a-boo has been a great calming tool used throughout the week as well. Many of our children are figuring out how to move around the room and are having so much fun exploring different toys in different places on their own. Our activities have included our pop up toys, sets of measuring cups and spoons, and puppets. Balls of different shapes and sizes have also been put into play a lot as well. As always, busy children full of fun and learning. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
