This week in the infant classroom the theme is transportation! The entire class has explored and enjoyed quite a bit this week but here are our favorite’s. The older infants loved exploring outside and enjoying the sunshine and exploring a sensory bin full of oatmeal and jumbo transportation toys like airplanes, trucks, and cars. The infants loved seeing the signs for the transportation vehicles as they explored, and teachers signed them. The group also enjoyed letting go of matchbox cars inside a hollow painted tube. The older infants enjoyed finding and retrieving the cars wherever they landed on the classroom floor. The group also enjoyed listening to different real transportation vehicle sounds on the iPad as we practiced saying their different names. We also practiced counting train cars as we connected them to each other! It has been a wonderful week in the infant classroom, but we look forward to a new theme on Monday. Until next time!
