The young toddlers had a lot of fun learning about gardening this week. We talked about the different bugs you find in gardens, like worms, butterflies, and snails. We also learned about fruits and vegetables. For math, we sorted flowers and counted worms. We also made mud by mixing dirt with water for our science experiment.  to practice their motor skills, the toddlers scooped pom-poms, watered chalk flowers with a watering can, and stuck popsicle stick flowers in play-doh. For art, we made tie-dye flowers with coffee filters and markers, glued tissue paper to make a “flower petal” collage, used stamps on paper, and used bingo dabbers to make flowers. Lastly, we planted 3 strawberry plants on the patio, and will spend the summer watching them grow and eating them.
