It has been a week all about animals that live on the farm and they have been loving it!  One of their favorite puppet times are when we bring out the animals and sing “Old MacDonald Had a Farm”.  It always gives us a great time to have them practice some familiar animal sounds and then they get to explore the puppets afterward, which they absolutely love to do!  They pushed tractors around the room and dropped popsicle sticks into the tops of coffee cans, which then turned into a drum activity when we flipped them over.    We are working on clean-up time with our older children which is also a great development skill as they learn to let go of objects into containers.  Our smallest ones listened to “This Little Piggy” and watched a pinwheel turn as we blew on it as they laid next to it.  We played a fun game of peek-a-boo with colorful scarves and read so many different books about farms and their animals.  Our oldest children started swimming this week and then got to experience mud day!  They had so much fun and there were many pictures taken to show just how much fun they had!  Summer is finally feeling like summer and we will be enjoying many more days outside!
