This week we celebrate America in many ways. Monday in art the children painted with forks to create fireworks! In language the children traced their names with stamps and in math the children explored patterning with red, white and blue chips. Tuesday was the Fourth and we hope everyone had a fun, and safe holiday. Yesterday in art the children practiced cutting strips of red and blue paper and glued them to white. In language the  children dictated what they did on the Fourth of July. In math the children sorted stars by size, color and/or type. Today was a swim day and the children had so much fun!! This afternoon the4 children will engage in a shape matching flags activity and they will create a hand  print flag in art. Tomorrow in art the children will practice cutting simple shapes of squares, circles, and triangles and glue them to paper. In language the children will practice writing letters in a tray of flour. In math the children will add stars and stripes to a flag. In the sensory table this week the children explored red, white, and blue garland, streamers and felt red, white, and blue hearts.
