Christmas in July

We have been singing X-mas songs all week, and listening to X-Mas music. I briefly explained that Santa is still sleeping and resting for when he comes in December.{we are just get ready for when Santa comes}

Tuesday-Swimming

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday classroom outside

Art

Monday- X-Mas tree by stamping with Q-tips with red, yellow and green paint to make lights on tree

Wednesday- The children peeled stickers{snowflakes and tress} and placed all around plate and glued on a red bow

Thursday- We marble painted with jumbo bells, red paint and green paper

Friday- We will decorate an ornament with glitter and paint of choice

Math

The children used X-mas memory cards to find 2 matches and place them together in a pile on the table, math tiles with numbers to practice recognizing numbers, shape puzzles with various sizes to manipulate and match by colors and size, and string the number candy canes with clothespins and lines

Motor Development

The children pretending to mail Santa letters by placing envelopes in holiday mailboxes{folding envelopes to fit/open and close mailboxes}. Mitten purses with snaps to practice opening and closing with fingers{snap}, Xmas lacing cards with pipe cleaners for sturdy grip, red/green/silver pipe cleaners and colanders to poke/weave in and out.
