We started this week reading Dora book about her trip around the world to countries France, China, Russia and Mexico. In art the children painted with bubble wrap, a good sensory exploration. In math the children engaged in a matching game to match numbered pumpkins. In language the children engaged in the activity alphabet soundtracks. This activity had the children listen to the letter description and find the matching picture with the letter. Tuesday in language the children dictated how to make spaghetti and in math the children engaged in an emotions bingo activity. Wednesday in art the children painted with peppers to create prints and in language the children practiced writing their friends names which was good to expose them to other letters outside their name. In math the children engaged in an activity of flags around the world memory. Today in art the children painted with foam brushes and in math the children sorted bear counters by size: small, medium and big and in language the children tossed bean bags onto lettered plates and named the letter it landed on,. Tomorrow in art the children will paint with potato mashers and in math they added foam cubes to a 1 to 1 grid. In language the children matched greeting words together, In the dry table this week the children have been working with beans and sed the dust off them.
