It’s Christmas in July throughout the center so there has been plenty of music, stories and puppets that we don’t usually hear until December so how fun to be celebrating when it is warm outside!  Our babies have helped take ornaments on and off a felt tree, stuck cotton balls to a Santa hat, joined gingerbread men together with help from the teachers, and dropped cars into a tube.  The youngest babies watched faces that we drew on the back of a paper plate and participated in a fun game of “Where is Thumbkin”.   They explored red and green dyed ice cubes and shook jingle bell shakers.  We have played peek-a-boo and blew bubbles, painted with brushes, watched ourselves in a mirror all while practicing our new skills of sitting, rolling, and walking. Stacking rings, nesting cups, and busy boxes have also been out to help with fine motor skills.  It has been a wonderful theme to have during the warm summer months and everyone has had a lot of fun celebrating our special Christmas in July!
