We introduced the theme with a weather banner, songs, Alexa weather app, and all the children got a chance to be a weather news caster by dressing up and talking about the weather.

Monday- Stamping with cloud and snowflake cookie cutters
Tuesday-Umbrella- Glued umbrella pieces, stamped with thumb and blue paint to make rain drops
Wednesday-Wind- marble painted with white paint, marbles and trays
Thursday- Koosh ring stamping with white paint and glitter
Friday-Clouds- glue on cotton balls on blue paper
Math
# rain drop grid boards with markers to practice making circles around each rain drop while counting, bingo color shape matching with same colors, same shapes, or same shapes different colors, and arrange marshmallows by size; small medium and large to learn about measuring and grouping with various sizes.
Motor Development
The children worked with and manipulated the following materials to strengthen fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, balance, problem-solving and finger building. Yellow play0dough with plastic spoons, knives and forks, pie pans and marbles to make the marbles spin around the pans from right to left tilting and circle motions, rain cloud grid and markers to fill in the rain drops, erase and make various shapes, lines and scribbles at their level of early writing, and letter “S” tracing with stickers- then children peeled off the stickers and placed it on the line on the letter following it from top to bottom or bottom to top.
