Vroom, beep beep….this week was all about transportation. We started our week discussing different modes of transportation. The children came up with a great list which included cars, trucks, airplanes, feet, scooters, and boats. We played a “Guess that transportation” sound game which the children did well with. This week the children worked on many different skills as well. At the language table, they worked on letter recognition, beginning sounds and writing. At the math table, the children worked on sorting, number recognition abd patterning. At the science table, the children sorted transportation by land, sea and air. At the art table, the children created a vehicle using construction paper, a boat out of cardboard and straw, airplanes using craft sticks and will end the week drawing a car and using a sponge to create a train. The children have been working hard practicing for the Circus…save the date soon to come! We hope the children enjoyed this week of transportation! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
