What a week all about dad’s and those special father figures in our lives! We have had so much fun learning all about the dads in our class. We talked about your likes, dislikes, where you work and what you drink 😶 and what you like to do in your free time! We made some really cute and very useful gifts for our dads, too! We made some really cute (paper) ties that we hope our dads wear all weekend long! For some math and numbers, we worked with tape measures and walked around to determine who was tallest, which shelf was biggest and so much more! We also played with dominos and Matchbox cars. Our sensory bin was full of “spaghetti” (white yarn pieces, red pom poms for meatballs, bowls and tongs for serving dad!). Some language activities included writing practice with words like: dad, pops, grandpa, uncle and father. Our field trips this week included a visit to the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center and an afternoon of field toys at Wolf Picnic Area. On Thursday, we headed to Westlake Rec Center (the outside of it) to explore their new climbers and roll down the big hill! On Wednesday, we missed our swim day because it was a little too chilly for us. We made the best of it and still had a load of fun. We will end our week with a Coach Charlotte lesson to play some sports and get out our extra energy going into the weekend. We wish all our dad’s, grandpas and uncles the best weekend and a Sunday full of relaxation and fun!Â
