This week was all about America’s birthday! We have celebrated all week with a variety of art projects, math games and language activities. We made our own fireworks (using forks), flags and red, white and blue collages. We used the number line to count, and put together a variety of  America puzzles. We did some writing practice as we wrote words about America, put together a picture with the word and matched up nice, cold popsicle halves (one had a letter, one side had the picture). Our sensory bin was filled with red and blue manipulatives to play with. The block area had red and white cups for stacking. Mud day was a huge hit on Monday. Wednesday’s swim day was so needed as the heat was ON and we were toasty warm! The water cooled us off! We did have to cancel a field trip this week, but we made up for it as we included lots of inside (air conditioning) fun! Since we will be off on Friday, we wanted to wish everyone a fun and safe long holiday weekend!
